Outdoor energy storage stations, electric ships, construction electric vehicles and port AGVs work in complex environments full of dust, moisture and water vapor. Dust accumulation and moisture condensation inside connectors easily cause leakage, short circuit and contact corrosion. Many customers only focus on current parameters when selecting connectors and ignore environmental protection performance, leading to frequent equipment failures in field operation.


Dust attached to contact surfaces will increase contact resistance. When moisture exists at the same time, electrochemical corrosion occurs on the metal terminals. Tiny corrosion spots will expand rapidly under high current load, eventually causing poor contact or burnout. Electric ships face salt spray corrosion, which puts higher requirements on the anti-corrosion performance of connector plating layers.
