Factory Inspection Items For Bulk QS Anti‑Spark Connector & Harness Orders Before Shipment

For bulk orders of QS anti-spark connectors and assembled harnesses, pre-shipment factory inspection is a critical barrier to avoid field failures, returns and safety accidents. Many quality risks that do not appear in small sample tests will gradually emerge in mass production. A standardized inspection workflow helps verify consistency, anti-spark function, electrical performance and mechanical reliability of every batch. Below we break down the core inspection items that our factory follows before shipment.

Visual & Appearance Inspection of Connectors and Harnesses

Visual inspection is the first step of the whole QC process. Inspectors check the PA housing of QS connectors for cracks, deformation, burrs, discoloration or injection molding defects. They verify that the pin and socket terminals are free of scratches, oxidation and misalignment. For finished harnesses, we check the silicone insulation layer for cuts, nicks and uneven stripping. The crimp or soldering joint position must be neat, without loose strands or excessive solder buildup. Marking and printing on the housing and wire jacket are also checked for clarity and correct model information, such as QS8 or QS10 identification. Any product with obvious appearance defects will be picked out directly and reworked.

Anti‑Spark Function Verification

The anti-spark feature is the core advantage of QS series connectors, so functional testing cannot be skipped in bulk inspection. Testers simulate the actual pre-charging connection scenario to confirm that no obvious spark occurs when the plug and socket are mated under rated working conditions. We check the internal pre-charge contact structure to ensure it works in the designed sequence: the pre-charge terminal makes contact first, then the main power terminal engages. If the anti-spark structure fails to act normally, the connector may generate electric arcs during plugging, which brings fire hazards for battery systems. Each production lot carries out sampling anti-spark testing to guarantee batch consistency.

Electrical Performance Testing

Electrical tests focus on contact resistance and continuity. The testing equipment measures the contact resistance of the mating terminal pair. Abnormally high contact resistance will lead to temperature rise under continuous high current and accelerate product aging. Continuity testing checks the whole harness circuit to rule out open circuits caused by bad crimping or soldering. We also conduct polarity confirmation to prevent reversed positive and negative wiring, which is a serious risk for battery packs. For selected samples from each batch, we test insulation performance between power poles to confirm the insulation of PA housing and silicone wire meets the design requirements.

Mechanical Assembly and Mating Performance Test

This inspection item validates the mating and locking structure of QS connectors. Operators repeatedly plug and unplug the samples to check whether the locking mechanism clicks smoothly and holds firmly after mating. The connector should not separate under normal pulling force. We check that there is no excessive tightness or jamming during insertion and withdrawal. For harness terminals, inspectors apply mild pull force on the crimped or soldered joint to confirm the wire will not detach from the contact. Loose terminals are one of the common hidden troubles in mass harness orders, which often cause intermittent power cut during end-use.

Material and Specification Matching Check

Inspectors cross-check the delivered goods against the customer order and product catalog. They confirm the QS model, matched AWG wire gauge, wire length, termination type (crimp or solder) and material specification are exactly what the customer confirmed. The PA shell material is verified to be UL94-V0 flame retardant grade, and the silicone cable matches the defined temperature range. If customers require custom pin arrangements or color customization, these custom parameters are double-checked. Mixing different models or mismatched wire specifications will lead to incompatibility at the customer’s assembly line.

Packaging and Labeling Inspection Before Shipment

Qualified products enter the final packaging check. Each connector and harness is packed properly to avoid extrusion damage during transit. Inner packaging protects pins from collision and contamination. Outer cartons are checked for sturdiness. Shipping labels, batch numbers and quantity marks are verified to match the packing list. We keep inspection records and sample archives for each batch, which supports traceability if customers have technical inquiries after receiving cargo.

Standardized pre-shipment inspection reduces after-sales issues and keeps stable quality for large-volume QS connector and harness supplies. Every inspection step targets the real risks that may happen in battery swap, light EV and energy storage applications.
